I was done with all the pending books I had this year and was thinking of buying a new book from kindle.
But with more than 10 books in my wish list, how do I select the best one to read?
The moment I scrolled across the wish list, my eyes stopped at the very first book on the list. The next moment, before I could think anything, it began to rain outside.
That feeling of rain with your eyes on the book cover, I knew it was this book I will be reading in next 5 minutes.
I didn’t see any other book and quickly bought the Go-Giver.
The world of business is changing at a rapid phase you can’t imagine. In this rapidly changing business era, one needs to give exceptional value to the marketplace.
The Go-Giver is entirely based on the philosophy of giving. The book is primarily focused on getting extraordinary results by giving exceptional values to others.
It has been a tremendous hit with over 7,00,000 copies sold, translated in more than 20 languages and has created the Go-Giver movement across the world.
The Go-Giver philosophy.
The story is based on Joe, a young man who is a true go-getter. Still he feels that the harder he works, the more difficult it gets to get the required results.
Jow finally learns that changing his focus from getting to giving ultimately leads to unexpected results.
He learns this through the five laws of stratospheric success which are described below.
Law 1: The law of value.
Your true worth is determined by how much more you give in value than you take in payment.
Law 2: The law of compensation.
Your income is determined by how many people you serve and how well you serve them.
Law 3: The law of influence.
Your influence is determined by how abundantly you place other people’s interest first.
Law 4: The law of Authenticity.
The most valuable gift you have to offer is yourself.
Law 5: The law of receptivity.
The key to effective giving is to stay open to receiving.
The story is beautifully described with all the characters and how they reached where they are today.
If you ever thought that working hard by aiming more and more was not generating any results for you, try the go-giver approach and ou might change your outcome.
The essence of the Go-Giver philosophy is this: “The more you give, the more you have.”
