Everyone says, “Follow your passion.”
And why shouldn’t they?
Passionate people are the ones who change the world.
It made me appreciate my life, enjoy every moment of it and helped me tolerate six years of corporate job.
There’s no chance I could have survived all the above things if I had not followed my passion.
To all those who are yet to figure out your passion, I can tell you that if you find it, never let it go unused even if you are not able to pursue it regularly.
May be few hours a day, may be on weekends, may be once a month, but pursue it.
When you pursue things you are passionate about regularly, interesting things start to happen.
You are happy when you follow your passion.
You are always happy when you are following your passion because your passion lies in your interest.
Remember the games that we played in childhood? Did we play any game which we did not like? Of course not.
We only followed our interest. That’s the reason our childhood is full of happy memories.
One of the perks of this is that you are always happy. Even the stress feels relaxing.
Your work is improved.
Whether you work on your passion full time or not, passion has it’s positive side effects.
If you are totally working into your passion, there is no laziness, tiredness and frustration.
Even if you are working on the side, the stress of your job is balanced by your passion because there is something you can look forward to at the end of day.
You’ll feel optimistic about your future again.
Passionate people see the world in a way very few people see. When you are following your interests, you gain skills that are valuable for your future, meet new people and see new opportunities because you are busy looking for them.
You also take actions and learn from them. When you learn new things, you feel excited about your future because you are now able to see the path ahead.
You meet like minded people.
There’s no way you will meet people that will take you to next level unless you follow your passion.
If you follow the same old routine, you keep meeting the same people you met few years back. But when you follow your passion, you start trying new things which leads you to meet new people doing crazy things and having dream similar to yours.
You will inspire others.
People look at your actions more than your words.
When you follow your passion, you do things that very few people do – you follow your interests.
Most people are stuck in their comfort zone. When you do things out of your comfort zone, you inspire other people who are unable to do so and are looking for someone to take the leap.
Your are now an example to them.
You not only benefit yourself but the entire world.
